Goethe and Islam

Do you know that Goethe, the poet, admiring the Prophet & Islam. His admiration is poured in Mahomet poem Gesang.

In a letter to his only child August, January 17, 1814, Goethe said "Some religions have mislead us until then came the Qur'aan to our library". In February 1816, he also wrote, "this poem does not deny the truth that this self is a Muslim". About the Prophet Muhammad, he also wrote "He was a messenger and not the poet, and therefore the Qur'an is God's law. No man's book just made educational materials or entertainment".
